Đurađ Jakšić

Đurađ Jakšić ((セルビア語:Ђурађ Јакшић); born 1977) is a Serbian history teacher and politician.〔(Istinomer bio )〕 He ran for mayor of Novi Sad in the 2012 mayoral elections. Jakšić is the Serbian Radical Party president of the city council of Novi Sad.〔''B92'', (Novi Sad: Rasprava o budžetu )〕
From sources inside the Serbian Radical Party, it is said that if the Serbian Radical Party does not return into parliament, Jakšić will no longer be a member of the party and will transfer to the Serbian Progressive Party of Aleksandar Vučić.
In December 2012, he arose controversy by forming a petition requesting a street in Novi Sad be named after Slobodan Milošević.〔''B92'', (SRS bi ulicu Slobodana Miloševića )〕 He previously arose controversy in March 2007 when he suggested that Veljko Milanković and Mladen Bratić get streets named after them in Novi Sad.〔''Index.hr'', (Index article )〕
Jakšić is known for striking deals with the leading Serbian Progressive Party and getting jobs for the members of the party. In an instance when a few younger members were about to leave the party, he quickly arranged for them to get jobs; these jobs were provided by the leading Serbian Progressive Party.
